The Writer's Room with Katie da Cunha Lewin
Q: Can we imagine them as a parent happily, creatively writing fiction? Is that one of the last hurdles that's out there for us?
It's not easy to try to write and also have a child, but it's not easy to also write and have a job, and it's not easy to write and do care work.
Living Dangerously with Katherine Mansfield
Q: Tell me about that facet of her and the Aleister Crowley stuff in particular, because it's not an association I'd ever noticed before.
Mansfield experienced spirituality and took part in drug use under Aleister Crowley, seeking transcendent experiences.
Living Dangerously with Katherine Mansfield
Q: What were the early signs that Katherine Mansfield was really keening for a different kind of existence?
From her early years, Mansfield marked herself as different; she did not fit in with the rest of her family, leading her to seek out a less comfortable life.
The Bloomsbury Photographs with Maggie Humm
Q: Who do you think is the most confident in front of the camera?
Humm describes Duncan Grant as very confident, often appearing relaxed and authentic in front of the lens.
The Bloomsbury Photographs with Maggie Humm
Q: Do you think these photographs conceal more than they reveal?
Humm suggests both concealment and revelation occur within photographs, as they contain multiple stories and layers, presenting both overt and unconscious narratives.
