  • Your Real Father is Waiting

Mark brings true humility and authenticity to the message about how God loves us. This latest episode was one of his best in my mind. This is a timely message for father’s day because many men who will listen to this message did not have an earthly father that reflected the love, mercy and compassion of our Heavenly Father. Some of our dads were monsters who were struggling with their own demons. It is only by the grace of God that I am able to call God Abba Father. He healed me of many wounds. ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

He Hid His Addiction for 20 Years—Until One Question Changed Everything
Q: What would you say to the group of men who feel stuck and hidden in their struggles?
I would remind them they are not defined by their past or others' perceptions; transformation starts by admitting the truth to someone you trust and stepping into a community that reflects love, acceptance, and accountability.
Fire, Faith, and Forty Minutes Without a Pulse — Matt Carter’s Story
Q: What would you say to a group of men who feel stuck or discouraged?
Encourage them to come together, seek Jesus, and lean on trusted mentors who can guide them back to purpose. Listening is crucial, as is building daily habits—scripture, prayer, work, and service—that reframe life around kingdom priorities.
Fire, Faith, and Forty Minutes Without a Pulse — Matt Carter’s Story
Q: How did your experiences with mentors shape you and influence what you're doing now?
Mentors like Steve Harris and Brian showed me practical, compassionate leadership; later, Alex Hormozi helped me see how to build and scale communities that train men to act like men in a supportive, faith-centered way.
Fire, Faith, and Forty Minutes Without a Pulse — Matt Carter’s Story
Q: From your perspective, what is biblical masculinity? How should a man act?
Biblical masculinity starts with kneeling to Jesus and following His example. Men should lead with love, protect and provide for their families, and demonstrate humility, self-control, and service rather than domination or boisterous behavior.
Fire, Faith, and Forty Minutes Without a Pulse — Matt Carter’s Story
Q: So tell me about yourself. What gave you this heart to reach out to men?
I spent decades as a firefighter and paramedic, was at the Oklahoma City bombing, survived a severe cardiac event, and after retirement I felt a calling to create a space where men could be mentored to live biblically strong lives. It's about following Christ, leading families, and building a brotherhood that pushes men toward real action and humility.
