  • The definite history of the Pacific Wari

At We have Ways Fest 2025, the main emphasis of the talks was the end of the war specifically the Pacific. As a Brit, we tend to focus on the actions in Burma and Malaya. So its great to find a podcast focusing on the American effort in the Pacific which give me an insight into this part of WW2. Love that the discussions run into hours as they can be so detailed but it may take me time to catch up.

  • I love this podcast, but it taught me that their central thesis is not true

These guys both are really impressive as are there guest host, especially John Parshall but their belief that the Central Pacific thrust by Nimitz in the Navy was absolutely pivotal in defeating the Japanese is dead wrong.

That offensive— which I believe was the Navy’s pre-war plan— was clearly predictable and because of the small size of the islands that they had to invade, they did not have the ability to use maneuver and envelopment as MacArthur did so often in his thrust up New Guinea throu... more

  • Stop interrupting!!!! Just stop!!!!!

Fantastic show but one star is to get attention. For the love of God stop interrupting each other. It ruins the episodes. Never,

not once is the interruption essential.

Nobody wants to hear that. Let the other person talk and during a pause address your comment. Jesus. This is not rocket science.
