Amazing podcast, super helpful, trauma informed, inclusive. Really opened my eyes to how the birth system in UK is institutionalised and how doctors push for c -sections and inductions before you’ve had half the chance to try naturally. Women who are fear-mongered by the system into not trusting their own body because of a lack of understanding into the physiology of labour. Thanks Sally Ann for empowering us to know we were made for birth and can do this!
I found this podcast and accompanying book incredibly useful in preparing me to be the most supportive birth partner I could be. An incredible resource where there is limited available specifically aimed at birth partners. A game changer!
As a mum who is trying to avoid the negative experiences of the first birth, this podcast has been invaluable as a source of good evidence based practice that is presented in a way that’s easy to follow and understand. It helped me to not be intimidated by consultants who tried to scare me with skewed statistics. It’s also helped me educate my birthing partner so that we are ... more

As a birth doula I always recommend this podcast to the families I work with. Everyone should take advantage of Sallyann’s vast knowledge and experience. There’s no jargon, it’s amazing for people with no knowledge of birth but equally, those who work in this world every day!
