Blind date….. excellent.
No please do a live Trawl to everyone.
I have been listening to the Trawl since the first show and still look forward to my weekly catch-ups with Marina and Jemma. The show is still able to have me crying with laughter and crying in sadness listening to the same episode. Love it, love it, love it, keep doing what you do really well. Xxx
While it used to be informative and relatively politically objective and neutral, they’ve gone all Green Party now. Impossible to listen to now so after a year I’ve quit.
Love this podcast, Jemma and Marina literally trawl social media so we don’t have to! (although many of us still do!) They provide a refreshingly different take from most of the other political podcasts out there, bringing their humour, but mainly their outrage, to the generally pretty dire news over the last few years. Give it a try if you haven’t found this little gem, and keep on going Jemma and Marina if you can!

Sharp, humor-infused analysis of weekly political drama and media narratives. Episodes frequently dissect UK politics, global conflicts, and the mechanics of how news is reported, often weaving in interviews, clips, and personal anecdotes to illuminate complex issues. The duo balances critique with warmth, calling out hypocrisy while staying accessible and relatable for a broad audience that enjoys candid banter and concrete takeaways on current events and public policy. A standout quality is the combination of fearless commentary, pointed humor, and a recognizable friendship between two hosts, which gives the show a distinctive, bingeable rhythm that appeals to listeners seeking both insight and entertainment.
