  • RI Gets More

To the person who wrote the Rhode Island deserves more comment. Don’t you understand what the talk show is it’s opinion. If you want News go to a News program. Talk shows are designed for people to have conversations about things that are in the news. Tara, does this better than anyone

  • RI deserves better

Unfortunately her morning show is more of the same for WPRO. You don’t walk away being informed. It’s a shame that someone with a microphone can’t take bringing serious news to their listeners. As I said for Gene (the early am host) I listen to their podcasts because unfortunately I don’t have any good source for local information to choose from.

  • Lady Tucker Carlson

For 3 hours at a time she will question experts, deny science and not answer any of the questions she asks. It is because of her views and other hosts of this show covid is as bad as it is. They all scream for their entire show “they want it to be back to normal” Tara herself has even belittled teachers whom have experienced concern about returning to the class room. All while the host are working from home. Every show they are either doubting literal doctors and spewing borderline conspiracy B/... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sen. Lou Raptakis - State Budget
Q: What stuck out the most about the budget and this year's increases?
The budget represents a large 6.1% increase totaling $940 million, which I believe is excessive; I also oppose a proposed millionaires tax as a revenue source and stress the need to avoid tax increases while ensuring essential services and proper funding for education and National Guard benefits.
Sen. Lou Raptakis - State Budget
Q: You are one of, I don't know, one of one Democrat who voted against this budget as it goes? One of two. Who's the other one?
Sam Bell is the other Democrat who voted against it, bringing the tally to two Democrats opposing the budget, and there are four Republicans opposing as well.
Sen. Jessica de la Cruz - State Budget
Q: How is the surplus actually dispersed across the budget, and who tracks it?
She expressed doubt about the official explanations, emphasizing that the budget presentation is unclear and that line-by-line budgeting is preferable for understanding exact allocations and potential wiggle room.
Sen. Jessica de la Cruz - State Budget
Q: Is there really a need to go after people for more taxes, given the surplus?
She questioned the necessity of higher taxes amid a large surplus, arguing for clarity on where surplus funds go and suggesting government should avoid raising taxes without clear, recurring justification.
Sen. Jessica de la Cruz - State Budget
Q: And what was the main priority or what was the main bummer for you when the Senate passed?
The senator acknowledged there were favored elements but stressed she voted against the package overall, highlighting concerns about transparency and the need for stronger investigatory powers for the Inspector General, while noting some positive steps as a starting point.
