  • One of the most thoughtful trail running podcasts out there.

The Steep Stuff Podcast goes way beyond the nuanced race results and gear talk. James is a true professional and there’s a clear sense of perfecting the craft over the last year. The conversations feel real, unforced, and human. It’s more like sitting in on a long run chat than listening to an interview. You’re listening and feel like you’re part of the conversation.

What sets it apart is the patience, the honesty of each guest, and James ability to drive the podcast forward. Guests are given s... more

  • Trail running is for the people

Professional and elite sports frequently feel so distant and difficult to grasp for the average person. James does a great job removing all the noise and gets into real, down-to-earth conversations with the sport’s best. It’s refreshing to listen to a podcast that puts genuineness above all else. Keep up the great work!

Pacing, staying calm at the start, and managing hydration are crucial, especially when transitioning from one-hour races to two-hour efforts.
