  • Not the Newsagents

I subscribe to the Newsagents, yet this show has been “dumped” into my subscribed podcasts, downloaded and there’s no way to stop it. It’s effectively podcast spam. If I wanted to listen to a sport podcast, I would subscribe to one. Just pack it in, and jog on.

  • Jenny Gow

Firstly, I’ve never written a podcast review. In fact I’ve never written any review before, however I felt compelled to do so follow following listening to the interview with Jenny. The delicate insight into the trauma what is the recovery into Jenny’s unfathomable experience, was touching, emotional and inspiring. I can only wish for the best of luck to Jenny and her family. Jenny is inspirational and good things should only be coming her way way 🙏🏻❤️

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

From 18 months to live, to Winter Paralympic dream: GB's Davy Zyw
Q: How hard was it to get considered for classification given you don't fit the obvious injury categories?
It was a strange and rigorous process because no one with MND had competed in either Winter or Summer Paralympics for Britain, requiring an extra detailed medical assessment to determine upper limb classification.
From 18 months to live, to Winter Paralympic dream: GB's Davy Zyw
Q: How does it feel to be in the middle of the snowboarding race, mentally free and in the flow?
In the zone, there's freedom and adrenaline, a focus and joy that makes the racing feel almost dreamlike, despite the harsh physical demands and the disease.
From 18 months to live, to Winter Paralympic dream: GB's Davy Zyw
Q: Tell us, are your family coming out there? Is your wife, she must be incredibly proud. Are they going to be there cheering for you?
Yes, I've got incredible support from home and friends overseas; my wife and son will be there, and the moments with my family at the finish line will make the sacrifice worthwhile.
Did Igor Tudor lose his head in 17 minutes?
Q: Was Tudor right to make the change, or should he have shown more compassion at half-time?
The panel suggested a balance between practicality and welfare, noting that half-time conversations and empathetic management can help stabilize a player, but immediate action may be necessary when a goalkeeper is clearly struggling.
Did Igor Tudor lose his head in 17 minutes?
Q: Did you watch that live? And when Kinsky was hooked on 17 minutes, what was your reaction?
The analysis focused on how the first half collapse was a mix of unlucky slips and tactical misjudgments, and how quickly a keeper's confidence can deteriorate when confronted with multiple goals in a short span.
