  • We Can Agree to Disagree—What a Concept! 😃

I love Smerconish because he makes me THINK! I crack up when I hear someone from the right commenting that Michael is aligned with the left… and vice versa. I listen precisely because he doesn’t push a political agenda. It’s about having a dialogue and being able to respectfully disagree.

  • You weren’t just praising

You were not just celebrating the aviators. Why couldn’t you speak with the caller about level of military force and capabilities maintained by the USA? That would have been a five star.

Should Ukraine Trade Land for Peace?

Yes, if security guarantees can be established, it may be necessary for a peaceful resolution.
Trump Calls It Treason — But Was The Democrats' 'Refuse Illegal Orders' Video Wrong?
Q: Was it appropriate for members of Congress to release a video urging military personnel to refuse illegal orders?
Michael Smerconish believes that it was not appropriate as it could undermine trust in the military and be politically motivated.
Disobeying Orders: Congress, the Military, and the Line Between Duty and Defiance
Q: What do we most need to know, according to you, in 30 or so seconds?
Our congressmen and women need to do a better job standing up for those in the military, pushing back against the excesses of President Trump when he's using the military in ways that the military is not designed for.
Disobeying Orders: Congress, the Military, and the Line Between Duty and Defiance
Q: Can I interrupt quickly? Okay, I just want people to appreciate who they're listening to.
Rachel VanLandingham is the Irwin R. Buckalter Professor of Law at Southwestern Law School and President Emerita of the National Institute of Military Justice.
Disobeying Orders: Congress, the Military, and the Line Between Duty and Defiance
Q: What caused you to want to weigh in on this?
The lack of appreciation that these congressmen and women surely have but did not express in their video for the difficult moral quandary and difficult legal position that the vast majority of those in the military actually face.
