At the end of the Animal Well episode he says he prefers the Xbox controller's D pad. This did psychological damage to me and I'm seeing compensation. My lawyer will be reaching out to you promptly.
Easily one of the best video game podcasts.
They cover the most interesting games in the medium, with easy off-ramps in each episode for spoilers, and are always positive with minimal snark. Big shout out to the chapters and timestamps! Almost certainly the friendliest video game podcast around.
There's nothing better than discovering an amazing podcast with years and years of back catalog to enjoy!

The Short Game is the only game review media I consistently follow. Their genuine love of games as media and art and their consistent promotion of small indie games make them unique. The games world is full of the same boring articles and talks on the same boring big budget games. The short game is the total opposite. They’re not weighed down by corporate overlords or obsessed with content likes, they just love short games and talking about them. We are lucky to have this podcast.
Recently, I’ve been listening to this podcast a ton! Everyone is really nice and funny.
This isn’t an in-depth review, but I think you should find one episode that interests you and listen to it do decide if it’s a good fit for you.

Topics include commentary on gameplay mechanics, storytelling, and the emotional weight of games that can often be played in a single sitting.
