I like Danny and respect his takes and general professionalism. The other two clowns on this show are ruining his brand with their political takes and outright support of murderers and anarchists. Time to unsubscribe again. Have fun with your Luigi show, I guess.
Danny, salvage this before it’s too late. You’ve worked too hard for these people you allow on your show to destroy it all.
Excellent podcast covering old and new games; AAA indie and the obscure. This is my go to podcast for gaming. Love how the 4 bring lads bring a different vibe to the table every week. Keep it up!
They do a genuinely great job spotlighting lesser-known games. Jesse really needs to cut back on the glib/smug cynicism and Frank needs to breathe.
Great show. But Danny, you are 100% wrong in your position regarding AI voice “acting”. Is it cheaper and easier to use AI? Sure. But we can say that about every human creative endeavor. (Including video shooting, production, and editing, btw.) Stop being an apologist for late-stage capitalism. AI slop is garbage and is burning the planet.
Great podcast. This is four guys talking about videogames. One is Danny O’Dwyer of videogame documentary fame. I have been following his trajectory for years and I love his work. The second one is a regular canadian guy. The third is a guy that did too many drugs at some point and now could find Schoppenhauer and Nietszche influences in SuperBreakout. And the last one is a cringe otaku guy secretly in search of his anime dominatrix waifu, which makes sense because he sounds like a cartoon charac... more

A three-host show that riffs about games, documentaries, and video game development, blending long-form conversations with behind-the-scenes industry insights. Episodes cover a mix of recent releases, indie projects, and the craft of making documentaries, often including hands-on impressions, design critique, and candid banter about studio life and the business of games. A standout feature is the crew's willingness to tackle both obscure titles and big industry topics with warmth, humor, and a development-minded perspective that appeals to listeners seeking thoughtful analysis and real-world context. This is likely to attract players who care about game design, indie scenes, and documentary storytelling, as well as professionals wanting ins... more
