Thoughtful and detailed analyses of both retro and more recent games. These guys are easily my favorite pod casting duo — check out this show and others they do on Duckfeed.tv. Their Baldur’s Gate 3 series (Real Lich Hours, season 1) was AMAZING and what initially got me hooked. Well worth your time!
About 10 years ago this podcast was great, in recent years these two white dudes seem to think they are moral warriors (one now wears a dress and that means he can speak about women’s issues). Everything is great if they like the game and it fits with their echo chamber, otherwise you’re a devil who should be ashamed of yourself. A shame as they just to be chilled out, chatting about games and joking but those days are long gone.
I listened to this podcast during cancer treatments because it pulled me in no matter how scattered I felt that day. Empathetic storytelling and intelligent analysis.
And I haven’t even played most of these games, :).
