Watch Out for Fireballs! is a game club podcast, focused on retro and non-current games. Every week, we play a game in its entirety, then discuss its merits and flaws at length. Most episodes begin with a short sketch, and we're pretty liberal about keeping tangents in. But it ultimately comes down to: Why do we like (or dislike?) this game.

Ah yes, my favorite game genre, ROUGE LIGHTS 💡also the most recent episode title made me have a stroke and tore my brain in half.
While the actual game chatter is a nice reprieve from the breathless YouTube-style yelly-men that often run these shows, the hosts (one in particular) seem to take every possible opportunity to signal their political inclinations, even in discussions of utterly benign and apolitical games. As someone who plays video games to escape that stuff for a few moments at a time, it gets fairly tiresome. It’s also worth noting that the theme music is perhaps the most arrhythmic, unmelodious, and grating ... more
Been listening since 2014 and just realized I never wrote a review. Gary and Kole are good podcasters and good people. Glad to see them have the kind of success they’ve earned over the years. On a side note the Patreon really is good value, there are a ridiculous number of shows worth looking into in addition to WOFF. Thanks again guys.
Love the passion behind you two. I’ve finally started streaming and beginning to create content and a podcast. Apologies for sounding gushy but you’ve been a big influence and inspiration. Particularly love the silent hill 2 episode and silent hill 3 episode alongside the resident evil etc etc.
Gary and Kole’s content is always enjoyable. They make games far more fun for me to play through for many reasons. They are such stand-up guys, and they add a satisfying amount of depth and breadth for the topics they cover. Even when I occasionally disagree with something one of them thinks, they’re just so pleasant to listen to.
