  • Come on what are we doing

We get it Victor you don’t like AAA games that’s fine. But making it your personality and bringing it up basically every episode is getting annoying. Jeez sometimes you sound so far up your own butt that sometimes I agree with people when they say you’re pretentious

  • Yay for rpg love!

Eric was my favourite guest on the game informer show, so I figured I had to check out his podcast, and I’m really glad I did! Instead of getting fun rpg takes once in a while, we get a whole podcast of it! I’m also glad to see the conscious mentions of important things people might now know about the companies involved in their games - people deserve to know what the money they’re spending on their games is supporting.

  • STOP WITH THE PAUSES VICTOR

Some of the spaces between words are so BIG I could drive a semi-truck through. This is not a play or a movie. Victor. Stop performing so much. It is so unnecessary.

  • Please share the mic

How Eric finds a way to dominate every conversation with such conviction must be studied… I’ve listened to the show for years, but since Kat’s departure, Nadia can barely get a word in edgewise. The final straw was the Pokopia episode, where Eric steamrolled Nadia to give the most patronizing vocal-fried slog of a game description. Victor has been wonderful, and tries to volley the conversation away from Eric, only for it to be snatched right back, so Eric can give some puffy meta-commentary on ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Adventures of Elliot Review w/ Matt Sowinski
Q: How does Elliot compare to other HD2D titles like Octopath Traveler or Tales of Fantasia?
The panel notes Elliot shares some ambition with those games but lacks the connective world-building and narrative heft; they discuss how other titles in the space successfully evolve their mechanics and storytelling, which Elliot does not fully emulate.
The Adventures of Elliot Review w/ Matt Sowinski
Q: What are your overall impressions of Adventures of Elliot after playing it?
Matt explains that while Elliot is visually impressive in HD2D and has a core concept with time travel, the game fell short in meaningfulness and variety; he highlighted a strong combat system but criticized the story, world design, and pacing, calling it forgettable overall.
People of Note & RPG Musicals w/ Jason Wishnov
Q: What is the elevator pitch for People of Note?
The game is an RPG set in a world where music structures society, following a star named Kaden who journeys through diverse cities to compete in a major contest, ultimately aiming to unite disparate genres into a single, powerful band and storyline.
Localizing Shin Megami Tensei: Tokyo Conception w/ Bradly Halestorm
Q: What makes Tokyo Conception accessible to non- TT RPG players?
Bradly emphasizes that the book is deep but approachable, with clear systems and flow that allow both casual readers and hardcore RPG fans to enjoy it.
Localizing Shin Megami Tensei: Tokyo Conception w/ Bradly Halestorm
Q: Why start with Nocturne-based material for SMT Tokyo Conception?
He explains Nocturne has global brand recognition and personal affinity, making it the most logical entry point for an SMT tabletop release, even though other SMT books exist.
