I was the other woman for five years. He was married. It wasn't the plan — but it happened, and it changed everything about how I see love, relationships, and myself. The Scarlet Edit is my podcast. I started it because I was tired of carrying my story in silence and I knew I wasn't the only one. This is where I talk about affairs, infidelity, cheating, divorce, and starting over — without shame, ... more

I opened up Instagram last week and asked what you wanted me to talk about that I hadn't covered yet. The questions you sent in were so good I built an entire episode around five of them.
In this listener Q&A, I'm answering the things you actually w... more
I was the other woman for five years and I don't regret it. That's the sentence that breaks people. The comments roll in every week telling me I should be ashamed, that I lack morals, that I should be performing remorse on demand. I'm not doing that.... more
In January 2009, my guest Naomi Kreske went looking through her husband's phone on a hunch. What she found ended the white picket fence life she thought she had: an affair, a relationship three months in, and a husband who wanted out that same night.... more

I was not a fan of the idea of “fantasizing” affairs as I have been the wife to many. With that said, this podcast has enlightened me on so many things. Nikki and her guests cover everything that could come up in any form of relationship. There is absolutely no fantasizing or positive spin on affairs, but explanation and logic which I respect and even appreciate. There is no judgement on any story or any topic. I love listening every Thursday and now Mondays. Can’t wait for next week!
Fantastic interview! Lots of fantastic energy, lots of great questions!
The podcast started with a personal story that deeply resonates with anyone who has been involved in an affair. What is often portrayed as a black and white situation is shown to involve complexities and fears associated with the human heart. Looking forward to the content to come!
Nikki holds space for a taboo subject, creates authentic conversations, and guides her listeners through growth and understanding. I can’t recommend her show enough. Even if you aren’t involved in an affair/situationship, there is so much you gain from listening to the show!
Nikki understands there is nothing more healing and empowering than stepping into your story and owning it. She's creating a safe space for women (and men) to shed the veils of stigma, judgement and shame to do just that.
