The “hook” of the Samurai sword got me started on the podcast but the rich storytelling kept me there. I thank the narrator for bringing to life deeply personal accounts of those who lived through this important period of history, during WWII and afterwards, particularly the stories told by her father through interviews and his journaling. The unfolding of the secret of how the Samurai sword came to be in his closet was as good as any mystery novel.
History through story-telling - Fascinating, emotional, and heartfelt. Highly recommend!
Two very enthusiastic thumbs up, Mandy! I believe that with this podcast you have laid the foundation for a book that will become a best seller for whatever market you choose.
Wow! Every Canadian should listen to this series so that the history of Japanese Canadians is never forgotten. Amazing storytelling by Mandy and a wonderful testament to her father and his service to his country.
