The Biggest Reason Why Your Sales Pipeline Is Not Converting As It Should | Gearoid Cox - 2001
Q: What is the major problem you're seeing with current pipelines?
CRM stages are often misaligned with reality, leading to many deals being stuck in stages that don't reflect the true progress, which misleads both reps and managers.
From Two Sales Per Year to Over 100 Qualified Appointments Per Month | Eric Samson - 1990
Q: What actionable steps can other sales leaders take right now to emulate your results?
Break the process into steps, start with the first high-impact change, and if you lack expertise, hire an expert to handle the critical components while delegating lower-skill tasks to others. This accelerates learning, reduces waste, and drives faster scale.
From Two Sales Per Year to Over 100 Qualified Appointments Per Month | Eric Samson - 1990
Q: How did you decide where to start when you brought in help or consultants?
We assessed the funnel and asked whether time or money could fix the problem. We learned that consultants could offer valuable insights, but the key was identifying which parts of the process needed the expert versus the operational staff to handle more routine tasks.
From Two Sales Per Year to Over 100 Qualified Appointments Per Month | Eric Samson - 1990
Q: What was the motivation behind setting BHAGs, and how did you approach scaling from two sales a year to 100 appointments a month?
The motivation came from realizing the bottleneck was not only in the operations but in sales. By adopting BHAGs (two sales a month initially), we forced a structured approach to growth, then tested and iterated on the funnel with time versus money, eventually hiring the right expert and breaking tasks into high- and low-value work to scale.
The Rule of Seven For LinkedIn Sales Navigator | Josh Shirley - 1988
Q: Can you clearly outline how the Rule of Seven applies to using LinkedIn Navigator for referrals?
The Rule of Seven has three applications: (1) a one-to-many scenario where seven conversations with potential referrers yield at least one strong introduction; (2) a many-to-one scenario where seven referrers can collectively help you reach a named account; (3) a one-to-one scenario where seven conversations with different people who know a prospect increase the odds that one connection will know someone who can introduce you. In practice, you start with seven outreach attempts, expect some to fail, and use the successful introductions and name drops to continue expanding your network.
