  • Just When You Think You Don’t Need It

How often have you deleted unplayed podcasts because they just come at you relentlessly? Cody is different. Every episode I’m glad I committed. Always helpful. Always motivational, but ever with actual tools for action. Sometimes I have to stop the episode because it is too good and I can’t pay enough attention or take notes while driving. That rarely happens with any other.

  • Great Host, Great Guest, Excellent Advice

Codie packs such great info to each episode and does so in such an inspirational way. She is blunt and honest! Loved the new episode about examining Rockefeller’s journey.

  • Practical Communication for Operators

    For BigDeal — Episode #123

Practical, high-motivation, straight talk for small business owners at any scale. The advice is actionable and direct.

It does lean toward promoting their ecosystem at times, but the signal is still strong.

Codie — truly appreciate you. Saying that as a supporter.

And one tiny nit from Episode 123: there’s no “x” in “especially.” 😉

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Most Followed Neuroscientist: The Effects of AI on Your Brain
Q: What are the practical implications of brain-based reality construction for everyday listeners?
Listeners can use the idea that their brain filters reality to deliberately prime themselves for goals, seek environments that reinforce desired states, and reframe experiences to shift trajectories. This includes mindful self-talk, identity-driven goal setting, and small, consistent actions that rewire neural pathways over time.
Hollywood CEO: How to Look Powerful in Any Room | Jeremy Zimmer
Q: What would you say to a young person watching today about entering the film industry?
Develop your taste, study good storytelling, read widely, stay curious, and build a broad skill set so you can adapt as opportunities evolve; don't chase superficial milestones, focus on creating durable value.
Hollywood CEO: How to Look Powerful in Any Room | Jeremy Zimmer
Q: What's the secret to doing great deals in Hollywood?
The secret is having great clients, understanding buyers' needs, and orchestrating a collaborative environment where both sides feel satisfied, even if you have to push hard at times to close a deal.
Hollywood CEO: How to Look Powerful in Any Room | Jeremy Zimmer
Q: Do you think every young person has to go through something really hard, like starting at the bottom of the mail room, to succeed in this industry?
apprenticeship and hard work matter, but more importantly, you must have authentic passion for the work and a deep respect for the craft; the path varies, but the core is perseverance and the willingness to learn from tough situations.
The Power of Delusional Self Belief | 2 Chainz
Q: Why did you create the Trap Music branded experience in a pink house, and what did you learn from it?
It was about reframing a stereotype—turning trap into something immersive and positive, with art, community events, and even a HIV clinic—teaching me that bold branding can create positive cultural impact and genuine business momentum.
