  • Super Enjoyable and Informative

As a teenage YouTuber myself that uses DaVinci Resolve Studio, it’s super relatable to listen to you guys talk about YouTube and DaVinci and just other random stuff sometimes. Keep it up! My favorite podcast so far.

  • Got tired of them shilling and unsubscribed

The latest episode is all about how Resolve is so amazing that they should start charging $50 or so per month for it and charge for the free version as well. Such fanboys! All you have to do is go on the Resolve support forum to see lots of people begging for fixes and features. FOR YEARS. Yes Resolve is the best platform right now. Yes it’s more and more issues with it every day and BMD is mostly non-responsive. So glad to have this worship out of my feed.

  • Learn and be entertained

I listen when I’m working around the house. The banter between these two is fun, they talk about Resolve (which is inspiring), and they soft-sell their wares. Give them a try.

  • Fun Resolve banter

I really enjoy all the videos these dandy gentlemen produce, but also like listening to the random Davinci Resolve and Youtubish stuff they talk about. Odd how my favorite Davinci Resolve YouTubers happen to like each other and make a podcast. Cheers to the two!

Should Blackmagic Charge for Major Updates?
Q: What do you think is going to happen next for DaVinci Resolve in the next few years?
I think that they will move to a major upgrade fee, but it will be cheap. I think the free version will keep being free because it's such a good driver.
Should Blackmagic Charge for Major Updates?
Q: Do you think if they start a change for the upgrade, it's a bit of a betrayal?
I could see how people would think that, especially if they expected to have unlimited upgrades after purchasing their version.
What is a Colorist? - An Interview With Darren Mostyn
Q: What's the biggest pro and con of being a YouTuber?
A pro is the rewarding connection with viewers and new friends; a con is the overwhelming amount of questions from viewers needing support, which can be time-consuming to manage.
What is a Colorist? - An Interview With Darren Mostyn
Q: What's your biggest pro and con of being a colorist?
The biggest pro is job satisfaction from improving edits; the con is long hours spent in the dark, focusing intensely.
What is a Colorist? - An Interview With Darren Mostyn
Q: How does someone start doing color grading and specialize in it?
Darren suggests starting from practical work, like grading friends' music videos or short films, combined with education from film school, while continuously experimenting and practicing on real projects.
