It is crushing to know how much the fan backlash harmed Ahmed, how material the effects were of such a petty and vaporous grievance. I loathed every moment of Jar Jar and I'm sorry for getting so swept up in that hateful pile-on. Ahmed is a great guy and never deserved what happened to him. more
