  • An informative podcast.

This podcast was a high quality production of what is indeed an intensely boring subject, I typically spend my time sitting in a classroom with some very loud friends rolling a hot wheels car it’s a Lego chicken called terry down the desk to one of my friends but this has been an enjoyable experience with a sentence about the premiere league being cancelled witch would be a dream come true since I hate football, so five stars from me

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

S18 E3: The One About Questionning
Q: What makes a good question and how can teachers model it?
Provide explicit criteria for good questions, model intellectual curiosity, create space for questions, and demonstrate humility by admitting when you don't know and outlining how you'll find the answer together with students.
S18 E3: The One About Questionning
Q: How should teachers handle students who say they don't know?
Assume genuine lack of knowledge, not laziness. Use wait time, cueing, and scaffolding to draw out ideas, ask students to repeat the question to check listening, and gradually guide them to a more developed answer, possibly by narrowing the stakes and encouraging peer input.
S18 E3: The One About Questionning
Q: What are the different types of questions for different purposes?
Questions should be planned to match the lesson's aims, with a range from factual recall to evidence-based justification, challenging assumptions, and expanding thinking. Teachers should choose question types that align with the disciplinary focus and help students develop deeper understanding.
S17 E11: The One Where We Mark A Year Since Dawn Cox
Q: How has Dawn's life influenced your view of RE education?
Her work and passion elevated RE teaching, encouraging rigorous curricula and compassionate mentorship that still guide teachers today.
S17 E12: The One Where Harry Clark Goes To Rome
Q: If there's one question you would want to find the answer to, what would you want it to be?
Whether there is such a thing as a good or bad Catholic, and how that distinction would look in practice.
