I’m really enjoying listening to this podcast. The John Doran interviews are especially good. A counter culture injection to sooth a workers commute 🤡. Melty.
This is a fanastic podcast. Really engaging, insightful and adeptly navigated chat. Looking forward to the next one.
Hello from Australia. I always use your site to find new music. Please don’t stop.
It’s definitely good and better than any other thing
This is by far the best music podcast out there featuring new original and interesting independent music that doesn’t get enough airtime these days, guests from cult bands and funny informative banter. Loving it
One of my favorite podcasts. Interesting interviews with with true musical artists in various genres, some that I'm already familiar with and some not so. Never fails to introduce me to new tunes and sometimes experimental and challenging music. Hosts are insightful and informed.
And that's coming from a Grimsby boy
Person 2: I agree it is excellent
If this was a radio show I would listen every single day. Lovely chat - entertaining and funny - plus great music.
There are Reviewers and there are Critics. tQ, staunchly, are the latter. Rooted in celebratory and highly-personal passion for sound and music, definitively curated. And pretty dern amusing as well!
A brilliant podcast that contributes to my already swollen hard drives and clouds. John's and Luke's laid back, funny and honest approach to podcasting is much appreciated and their anecdotes and regular spots nestle in perfectly amongst the nigh on impeccable musical choices. It's the aural equivalent of reading The Wire with added mirth. Keep up the excellent work lads.
For all your R Kelly karaoke needs
Best music website out there
Don't usually subscribe after listening to one episode, but The Quietus Hour won me over with a wonderful Shirley Collins interview. Hope the show's good vibe bears out over the whole series - I'll be listening to the Stewart Lee ep quite soon.
John and Luke really know what they're talking about. Discussion is entertaining for listeners, music is phenomenal. A+
