I’ve been enjoying Jeff’s questions to creators for 20 years and cannot recommend this pod more highly for those interested in the creative process.
Audio sounds off. Pauses and cuts sound artificial and edited instead of natural.
Bizarre interview with Tony Gilroy. Instead of talking about what is in the show, Goldsmith is seemingly obsessed with what did not make the final cut. Gilroy was clearly irritated. Also, let your guests speak. Listeners want to hear Gilroy exposit, not Goldsmith. The episode was advertised as a conversation about writing, but in actuality, Goldsmith came off as an overeager Redditor wanting to know whether Tony ever considered using more toys from Rogue One. Appreciate the length and depth Jeff goes to to get some of the best screenwriters out there.
He could shorten and or mix up the subscription pleas and plugs. They are very long and repetitive; just get skipped past.
