I love the content of this podcast, but they have got to get their audio figured out! The guests fade in and out and volume levels between the different parties are all over the place. It's almost impossible to listen to.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Women Who Meant Business
Q: And could you tell us about your work looking at the Pre-Raphaelites and Christian Socialism? How these affected women's careers?
One of the advantages of looking at having a reasonably tight time period is that it seemed like a good way to approach it.
Women Who Meant Business
Q: What about May Morris? Why were you drawn to May Morris?
I was drawn to May Morris because there has been a lot of work done to reposition her and again, give her her story back, which is great.
Women Who Meant Business
Q: And with your business background, why did you feel that this was an important project?
When I started the project in 2020, there were only six women who were CEOs of FTSE 100 companies, and in terms of progress, it's actually one of the areas that's been the slowest to see women get to be represented around the leadership table.
Women Who Meant Business
Q: Could you tell us more about your Women Who Meant Business project? How did it come to be, and what does it entail?
The Women Who Meant Business Project is really about trying to bring more focus and visibility to women who were in commercial roles in the late 19th and early 20th century.
The History of Art in One Sentence: 500 Years of Art (But Funny)
Q: How did you decide to include The Pre-Raphaelites into your book?
The Pre-Raphaelites were always going to be included due to their outrageous history and the abundance of interesting stories related to them.
