I’ve tried to get into it like 3 times, but how you can make such a fascinating topic so boring is utterly baffling. Badly written and poorly narrated.
I’ve read countless books on pirating and other explorers and I’m finally getting around to understanding the relationship between the missions of the pirates and explorers journeys and the history of their countries and their quest to find a better way to trade with China. From the 1300’s to today we’re all on a similar trajectory of exploration and conquest.

Too many episodes that have nothing to do with pirates. Actually, there are more episodes NOT about pirates than episodes about them. This not a podcast for pirate enthusiasts.
A fabulous demonstration of how a theme (Pirates) can be a great way as we journey with said folk of explaining wider historical vistas and processes.
