The most notorious mass murder in Ohio’s history happened on the night of April 21, 2016 in rural Pike County. Four crime scenes, thirty-two gunshot wounds, eight members of the Rhoden family left dead in their homes. Two years later a local family of four, the Wagners, are arrested and charged with the crimes. As the Wagners await four back-to-back capital murder trials, the KT Studios team revis... more

I wanted to listen because I’m interested in the case, but it was excruciatingly slow. There are four 5-minute commercial/ad breaks in a 35-40 minute episode. Half of the actual podcast time is retelling the same info. The whole store could have been better told in about 4 episodes. To stretch it into this many episodes & seasons is unnecessary. Don’t waste your time.
The pace of this podcast is glacial. It is a sloth at sleep.
Why did it take 6 months to “live” cover a trial that was almost half that length.
It was laughable to be listening to the try and create suspense around a case that was already at the appeals court.
It would have been more interesting and take less time to actually listen to a recording of the trial, or read the transcript because frankly, the hosts and commentators brought nothing to the table.
Cool show so far, but I’m not kidding when I say there’s 15 minutes of ads in one episode. There’s 4 1/2 before the show even starts during the first few episodes and it gets longer as the show goes on.
I genuinely would like to know and hear how this case ends, but I will gladly search and find a different podcast that discusses it. The episodes are more than 50% ads, and it is very frustrating to listen to a few minutes of content followed by 4 to 5 minute long ads. I don’t care to skip through them, but it has gotten to a point where you can’t even really understand what is happening in the case because it is so botched by the ads. Unfortunately, do not recommend this podcast.
There are a TON of ads. I’m willing to skip through a million ads, though, if the content is good. It’s just not here. It’s all speculation about what evidence the prosecution might have. Then asking other people that also have no insight to speculate. The producers are obviously digging for anything to talk about until the facts start coming out at trial, but three seasons in and still nothing. I can’t wade through these endless commercials anymore hoping something factual or interesting is rev... more
