  • Single Tax

What’s the Financial benefit? None of the content actually helped me as a single individual. I’m not sure what benefit it is to just re highlight my daily financial struggles and unrealistic financial expectations. I would like an episode on what is realistic for a person like myself please?

Benson Bee is a worrying business model. I worry about the. Number of people losing safeguarded benefits. They couldn’t even provide me with a proper costs and charges breakdown. They told me the investments had no charge. First time I’ve known an investment manager work for free!

  • Too Biased & Not What Is On The Tin

Too presumptuously London-centric, SE-UK biased, too gender biased, too Islington elite biased. The legal advice and guidance given is presented as universally applicable, but this is incorrect and could prove potentially disastrous as it commonly only applies in one or some of the relevant legal jurisdictions. In relation to the above, speakers commonly veer greatly off subject for prolonged periods.

BONUS EPISODE: Should you buy Premium Bonds or save into a Cash ISA?
Q: Now, Maike, let's talk about premium bonds first. For anyone who doesn't know about them, how do they work?
Premium Bonds are government-backed and do not earn traditional interest; instead, your money is entered into a monthly prize draw with various prize levels, including a top prize of 1 million pounds, and you can cash out in a few days.
BONUS EPISODE: "A life-changing diagnosis refocused me on my beneficiaries"
Q: Why did so many savers have resistance around retirement planning; why focus on income rather than just assets?
Many people delay because retirement planning feels abstract or complicated, while the craving for immediate tangible goals (like holidays) overshadows long-term income needs.
BONUS EPISODE: "A life-changing diagnosis refocused me on my beneficiaries"
Q: We should just clarify, what is the difference exactly between saving and investment?
Saving is straightforward with a bank or savings account and fixed or variable interest, while investing puts money into assets like stocks and bonds with higher potential returns and higher risk.
E46: How to bounce back from redundancy with Jimmy McLoughlin OBE, Eleanor Mills and Emma Ferenc-Bachelor
Q: What should individuals do to prepare for the possibility of redundancy?
