  • College Ball

Paul should be a national college football show instead of just the SEC, specially now. But basically his show describes the passion in college football nearly every day. Yeah, he gets annoying with some of his takes but this is one of the main shows in the sport where many fans gravitate.

  • Sham show. SEC homer

This guy is an embarrassment. Someone who couldn’t make it as a waterboy now has “knowledge” about CFB. He is a paid SEC smoke show. Starve him so ends up where he belongs

  • Gaslighter

I used to like Paul but lately it just feels like he’s a grumpy old man who talks gibberish and gaslights his audience. His takes aren’t rooted in any truth and he flip flops more than a Waffle House cook. I gradually stopped listening and now I unfollowed this hallow old man.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 3: Back 2 College
Q: What is driving the current controversy around Lane Kiffin and LSU?
The panel attributes it to a mix of leadership decisions, NIL dynamics, and legal uncertainties that influence team rosters and conference loyalties, with Kiffin's persona amplifying the situation.
Hour 3: Holding Court
Q: Pete, great to have you on. And just describe the day for us.
Pete Thamel described a day of courtroom drama in Baton Rouge, with the SEC filing a federal lawsuit and the proceedings centering on eligibility for LSU players, making it one of the most surreal and high-stakes days in college football reporting.
Hour 1: Ready for Clemson?
Q: Wesley in Lake Charles asks how Paul sees Lane Kiffin handling the situation with the commissioner and the lawsuits; is there a strategic path for Lane either to back down or push forward?
Paul explains his long-standing friendship with Lane Kiffin and emphasizes he won't generalize about other teams; he believes Lane is unlikely to publicly defy the SEC in a way that escalates the conflict, and he focuses on keeping the discussion grounded in the immediate roster and legal dynamics rather than personal vendettas.
Hour 2: Back 2 School
Q: What is Vanderbilt looking at in terms of starting quarterback and overall offensive plan this season?
Eli Landers explains that Jared Curtis brings a traditional pocket presence and a big arm, with competition from Blaise Berlewicz. They expect Curtis to take reps in the early games, with a decision by week three depending on camp performance and scrimmage results.
Hour 2: Eli Cranor, Author
Q: How does your football background shape the realism in Mississippi Blue 42 and its portrayal of college athletics?
He notes that his football past provides authentic insight into team dynamics, pressure, and the intrigues of college programs, which informs both the plot and character behavior in his investigative fiction.
