I’ve really enjoyed learning more about ancient Rome while gardening, folding laundry, washing dishes 😀 - Love their friendly banter…they’re the Click & Clack of Roman history!
One of the best podcasts out there on Roman history with book and movie reviews thrown in for good measure. Doctors Rad and G manage to dance the fine line between academia and mainstream media and deliver something that is understandable for plebs and slaves alike. Anyone who doesn't agree should be thrown off the Tarpian rock or crucified for crimes against Rome. A true podcast for true Romans.
I’ve been listening to this podcast for years, now. Dr Rad and Dr P bring their expertise in classical history for a staggeringly deep, fascinating dive into the year-by-year of ancient history. (With some excellent eps on Hollywood adaptations, to boot.) It used to stress me out how slowly the ancient years were progressing, but those episodes are now a highlight of my new-ep alerts.
I am so sad that this podcast is so hard to listen to, I know it has some great information but it all gets lost in the abysmal delivery. I can’t get through an episode. The laughing Yas, and “surprises” that are not at all surprising make it unbearable.
If you want to know why the Romans treated women as they did just listen to this podcast 😆
