  • Great Interviews!

Chris interviews a variety of guests. Not just military but from all walks of life. For an ex-Para Reg guy like myself, I know some of the guests personally, or at least by name and reputation. Always interesting to hear stories and experiences I wasn’t aware of. As for Chris himself, he allows the guests to tell their stories without too many interruptions. Many other podcast interviewers interrupt far too much so it’s a breath of fresh air to hear guests expand on stories of their own volition... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

SAS Legend Chris Ryan Opens Up Like Never Before.
Q: What was the hardest part of SAS selection for you?
Chris explains that while the physical hills were tough, the hardest aspect was the mental strain of survival training and the discipline required to stay focused day by day, especially under the Jungle Survival course where fatigue and stress tested every recruit.
Richard Whitehead MBE: Losing Both Legs, Winning Paralympic Gold & Redefining What's Possible
Q: How did growing up with a disability shape your mindset and approach to mental health?
He explains that early support, mentorship, and a belief in one's gifts helped him stay resilient, transform perceived limitations into opportunities, and use sport as a platform to advocate for inclusion.
PART2: From Battlefield to Blockbuster | The Brutal Reality of Being a Hollywood Stuntman |
Q: What's the hardest stunt you've tackled, and why?
The Batman C-130 sequence stands out because it combined extreme technical complexity—multiple people on lines, aircraft coordination, helicopter pulls, and a long, dangerous set-up—with real risk if any element failed. It required meticulous planning, test rehearsals, and flawless execution under variable weather conditions.
PART2: From Battlefield to Blockbuster | The Brutal Reality of Being a Hollywood Stuntman |
Q: What was the first daunting job you did as a probationary stuntman?
The first stunt was deceptively simple in setup but taught the harsh truth of on-camera realism: making a car corner look out of control while the driver wasn't an experienced racer. It required precise driving, acting timing, and understanding the camera to sell the sequence—everything felt like a boot camp in how to think on set.
FROM THE PARACHUTE REGIMENT TO THE ICE TRACK
Q: What were the major challenges you faced in forming the bobsleigh team and securing sponsorship?
He describes the process of building a team, securing independent sponsorship after a strained relationship with the official BBA, and how their team's identity and performance helped drive support and credibility.
