I’m not a particularly lonely person, but I thoroughly enjoy your company and cultural touchstones while stretching in this 38 year old body or doing the tedious things of life — dishes, weeding, sweeping. Keep it up — I appreciate your spirits, joy, reflections, and silliness ❤️
Listening to these two talk about a show I would never watch is a balm for my brain. It’s like eavesdropping on two friends talking about their other friends - you don’t know them and you’re not even invested in the story, but you keep listening for the conversational side-quests.
I highly, highly recommend rewatching The OC tv show while listening to this pod as a companion series. Alex and Niko are your guides through the melodrama, music, and meandering conversation about this wonderful time capsule of a tv show and, well, lots of other topics too. I’m very picky about my pod choices and gotta say, this one is a keeper. To the hosts, please continue being awesome! I’m halfway thru season 2 and yall keep me hysterics lol, thank you.
I love the bit where they talk about things completely unrelated to the show for half the episode like an obscure Canadian kids show or an anecdote from Nico’s construction career.
Alex and Niko have become the voice of my happy place. Love reliving the OC through their meandering journey.

Two hosts rewatch The OC and use the lens of early 2000s culture to explore friendship, ambition, romance, and social dynamics. They mix tight episode critiques with wide-ranging tangents on music, fashion, pop culture, and personal anecdotes, creating a warm, nostalgic, and conversational vibe. Notable strengths include insightful character reads, willingness to critique problematic plot choices, and a playful, wanderlust approach to topics beyond the show, which keeps conversations fresh for long-time fans and newcomers alike.
