During my annual October search for good horror movie podcasts I stumbled across NHMC with Kate and her assorted second chairs. Compared to the many mopey male led horror movie podcasts, this is a breath of fresh air. Kate exudes the joy of fandom. She unapologetically likes what she likes. While I don’t completely share her taste in horror (no matter how much I love the show, I’ll never watch Sleep Away Camp), I’m loving going through the archive because Kate and friends are having so much fun!... more
I love this podcast so much! Kate and Ariana are hilarious. Their creepy pasta episodes have me crying. They also have great taste in horror, and I love the connections they make to other movies. For example, I screamed when Kate pointed out the mocking voice of Martin in Vivarium to Buffalo Bill because I had the same thought when I watched it. They’re true movie fans and super fun to listen to. Highly recommend!
I am a home care and hospice nurse and the last two years or so especially have been hard. This podcast is my favorite thing to listen to on my drives between patients or while I'm charting and it never fails to make me genuinely smile. It is always a bright spot in my week and holds a special place in my heart over other podcasts and audiobooks. The content is excellent and well thought out and the discussions are a joy to listen to. The mini episodes are just delightfully fun and thought-provo... more
I stumbled upon this podcast while searching for Rocky Horror Picture Show content and what a discovery it was! Initially I wasn’t much of a horror movie fan, but your podcast transformed my view. Kate, Emma and Ariana have a way of making each episode accessible to those of us who were once on the fence about the genre. Their passion is contagious leading me to start watching the films they discuss on their scoreboard so I can listen to past episodes. It’s become a thrilling journey into horror... more
The energy and humor is exceptionally entertaining and refreshing. Flawlessly edited. Impressive banter between the hosts (it’s real, it’s raw, it’s riveting). Engorges all my tissues and mitochondrias with the kind of joy I never knew I needed. Thank you!
