I was looking forward to hearing a different NFL podcast.

They promote it like it will be different, they promote it that this will not be an analytic, hot take show.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Chargers Hall of Fame QB Dan Fouts |NFL Players: Second Acts Podcast
Q: What made Coryell's offense so transformative for you and the Chargers?
The system gave me tools and confidence, emphasizing throwing routes and reading defenses; we built an expansive, adaptable offense around playmakers and let technique and timing carry the growth.
Former Dolphins DB & Secret Service Agent R.J. Stanford | NFL Players: Second Acts Podcast
Q: Why did you pivot into the Secret Service and cybersecurity after football?
The decision grew from an identity transition and watching how leadership and discipline from football translate into law enforcement and tech roles; I shadowed various agencies, built a network, and pursued a path where I could apply my skills in high-stakes environments.
Former Dolphins DB & Secret Service Agent R.J. Stanford | NFL Players: Second Acts Podcast
Q: What was your welcome to the NFL moment?
I realized I was on the same field with veterans like Steve Smith and that I belonged there, which fueled my belief that I could compete at the highest level and helped me push through the rookie year.
Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall | NFL Players: Second Acts Podcast
Q: What was going through your mind when you faced Ray Lewis in your rookie year debut against the Ravens?
I knew I had to come at him with no hesitation, using the same aggressiveness I'd developed in college, because the moment was about proving myself to the franchise and to him in that rivalry.
Steelers legend Mike Logan talks how Troy Polamalu saved his life, how a whistle and therapy helped him acknowledge his 17-year battle with depression
Q: How did your relationship with Troy Polamalu influence your approach to adversity and mental health?
