  • Great Episode on John & Paul’s Creative Partnership

I’ve been a fan of this podcast for years, it’s always great, but the episode about Ian Leslie’s book on John and Paul’s creative relationship finally compelled me to leave a review. I’m a huge Beatles fan.

Ian’s deep dive into their creative symbiosis was fascinating, and Caleb, who hosted this one, asked super thoughtful questions that made the conversation really warm and engaging.

Highly recommend this episode for music and pop culture fans. I ordered the book right after listening.

I find it ironic you interrupt the show to mention about Peter Attia yet don’t mention Ari Emmanuel, zeke’s brother, involvement with Epstein

  • I just found and started listening, right now.

Did I just find my people? As I listen to commercials. I’m hopeful. In my simple description of “people” that are okay with enough for you less for me are “Sheep in Wolf clothing”. They know. But not enough for their “Golden Calf’s”; will allow solutions. When any money is involved.

  • Sam Kass is a Leader

I’d love to see this podcast platform even more thought leaders. I want my country to do a better job of elevating calm people with good stories, who know how to tell those stories well. I really liked hearing Sam’s telling of where he thinks investment should go with AgTech, his point that many markets are not actually big enough for climate disruption tech, and his ability to tell a clear story. Most of all, I liked his take on optimistic realism for the future. Cheers also to our host of inte... more

  • Not asking the next big questions

The latest AI podcast was a straight puff piece that failed to ask about the morality of a technology that relies on scraped and stolen copyrighted material and causes immense environmental damage the more people use it. The authors were not asked challenging questions. Of course AI makes everything more efficient and cost-effective for a business in the same way stealing people's vehicles makes running your taxi service more affordable. The creators and authors who have had their work robbed to... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Michael Pollan on Food, Psychedelics and His Next Book
Q: How has your own relationship with psychedelics changed over time?
Pollan describes continued engagement with guidance-based experiences, the value of a trusted guide, and a willingness to experiment within a legal framework as attitudes and access evolve.
Michael Pollan on Food, Psychedelics and His Next Book
Q: When do you realistically see the regulatory hurdles being cleared to offer therapy-assisted psychedelic treatment for patients in need?
Pollan suggests it's still a few years away, with ongoing research and compelling results driving progress, but practical implementation will hinge on insurance coverage, business models, and policy nuances.
The Surprising Power of Oversharing
Q: What practical tools exist to help someone practice disclosure in everyday life?
Techniques include disclosure audits (tracking what you say vs. what you think but don't say), moving small talk to deeper topics quickly, and using structured prompts like the '36 questions' framework to deepen connections in a collaborative way.
The Surprising Power of Oversharing
Q: How do you know when to disclose more or pull back in a conversation or relationship?
Disclosures should be gradual and reciprocal, building a back-and-forth dynamic rather than a one-sided stream. The timing and context matter, and there are positive returns when both sides engage and when leadership models vulnerability responsibly.
The Surprising Power of Oversharing
Q: What is omission bias and why is it important in the context of disclosure?
Omission bias is the tendency to blame ourselves more when we fail to act (the absence of action) than when we perform an action that leads to negative outcomes. It explains why people often avoid sharing because they fear the potential consequences of saying the wrong thing, but the research discussed shows that appropriate disclosure can deepen trust and relationships.
