  • One of the best resources on the Web today

Over the last several weeks I have been listening to a number of these New School netcasts .  Commonweal co-founder, Michael Lerner, is in my experience the most effective interviewer on the internet today.  He brings a depth of knowledge to each encounter that is at times astonishing; yet he manages to keep the focus on his guests and their particular (and considerable) expertise. I invite and encourage everyone who reads this review to download these netcasts and listen to them at your leisur... more

On a Roll: A Story of Change, Courage, and the Road Still Rising: Jerry Millhon
Q: Have you been able to give yourself that same kind of permission, to be where you are in your healing journey without rushing?
Yes and no. I am pushed by the implication of, gotta get better, gotta push. I gotta do 150 more pushups with my arms today.
On a Roll: A Story of Change, Courage, and the Road Still Rising: Jerry Millhon

2024:06.08 - Peter Coyote - Things As It Is, A Roving Discussion of Zen in the Vernacular
Q: What advice do you have for someone dealing with loss and impermanence?
It's helpful to remember that those who have died are still part of the universe. They take on different forms and live on in the environment and in our memories.

Q: What is kinshow and what was your experience of it?
Kinshow is a state of enlightenment or awakening, which many see as a goal. My experience with it was profound and left me realizing that everything is changing and nothing is permanent, leading me to understand that the pursuit of wisdom is ongoing.
