  • Love this station! Change the format please

I listen to most radio on podcasts now, and I love Redfm, but I don’t listen to the podcast often. I think if the format changed to smaller chunks of the day, to 10 to 30 mins it would be more enjoyable.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

4th August 2026
Q: What can be done to prevent street violence and protect young people in Cork?
Guests and callers suggest a combination of parenting accountability, stronger local policing presence, and community support mechanisms, plus systemic changes like faster vetting and clearer consequences for youth crimes.
Hans - The man who lofted the viaduct in 1985
Q: How did the ramp factor into the competition, and what were the rules about using it?
The ramp was essential, a collapsible German ramp; the rules allowed the ramp to be used by all guides, so it wasn't exclusively mine and everyone could use it, which balanced the contest.
Hans - The man who lofted the viaduct in 1985
Q: Did Mick Barry give you any tips or help during the event?
Yes, Mick Barry was there and was a very good bowler; we talked, and he gave me a lot of tips that helped shape my practice and approach to lofting, even before the competition.
Hans - The man who lofted the viaduct in 1985
Q: What do you recall of that day when you lofted the viaduct?
I recall a massive crowd, the excitement in the air, and the exact moment after several attempts when I finally cleared the bridge; it felt like the greatest day in my history of bowling and the recognition from thousands of spectators.
Killarney business woman Sharon O'Brien
Q: Can you explain what happened during the appointment and how it escalated?
The client began with anti-Traveller comments, then attacked my background and family, and despite remaining calm, the confrontation escalated to a hostile and demeaning exchange.
