  • So helpful!

For me, this podcast was so helpful while I was pregnant with my first baby. I knew that I wanted a natural birth and although I wanted a home, I felt that the natural birth was the most important thing for me and that I should also listen to stories of women who birthed in hospitals. I really enjoy how the guests are from all over the world because I feel it gives an accurate understanding of the medical system. I very much recommend this podcast to anyone who is pregnant, regardless of what th... more

  • Frustratingly negative podcast

I am planning to have a natural birth in the hospital and sought out a podcast to try and prepare for that. Listening to the episode about natural birth in the hospital was frustrating. This woman is extremely negative towards hospital births and will leave you feeling like you basically have no chance of succeeding with a natural hospital births. I’m disappointed in her negativity towards a situation that to her is not “perfect”. Maybe it’s perfect for someone else though.

Kaela's Positive Home Birth Story with a 3rd degree Tear & Transfer
Q: Did you know before conceiving or when you got pregnant that you wanted to have a home birth?
It was a mix of both. I always knew I wanted a natural, holistic birth, but I was overwhelmed with how to navigate it until I did more research, which solidified my choice for a home birth.

Q: What advice and pearls of wisdom would you give to a first-time mama who wants a natural and empowering birth experience?
I would invite her to really believe in herself, recognizing that birth is a very natural event that is beautifully designed. Most of the time, women don't need anything outside of themselves to give birth. It's essential to develop practices of self-love and connect with their hearts to honor their true desires for birth.
