  • Propaganda show now

This show use to provide good content.

    I don’t understand what happened.

It’s now, what I can only describe as propaganda, from Charles, is now longer insightful or useful. It’s a rambling of what feels like grandiosity & delusions that simply don’t exist in the real world.

I don’t know what happened, but I hope things eventually return to a level of sanity that useful information can be restored to this formerly good podcast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Cyber Attacks or Cyber Negligence: What is Inevitable vs what is Preventable
Q: Why do MSPs still struggle to communicate risk effectively to non-technical clients, and how can they improve?
Many MSPs are technically strong but lack confidence or skills in translating cyber risk into business terms; improving communication and sales skills, along with offering concrete, low-cost foundational measures, can make security approachable for clients.
Cyber Attacks or Cyber Negligence: What is Inevitable vs what is Preventable
Q: Is it fair to distinguish between legitimate cyberattacks and preventable cyberattacks, and where should the focus lie?
The majority of breaches are preventable through basic cyber hygiene, and while edge cases exist, MSPs should emphasize foundational controls and clearer, business-focused communication rather than labeling everything as sophisticated.
Preparing for AI Regulation
Q: Do you think MSPs ought to remain dormant in their guidance, or should they proceed forward and just be ready to pivot when, if and when there's a legislative action?
Laying dormant is the worst thing you can do; MSPs should actively engage and help clients navigate AI safely.
Cybersecurity Awareness: Beyond the Basics
Q: What would be a reason for including non-technical employees in cybersecurity training?
Non-technical employees are just as important as technical employees in adhering to policies and preventing breaches, especially via social engineering attacks.
Cybersecurity Awareness: Beyond the Basics
Q: Could you briefly just describe why internal MSP employee training is important?
It's important because in compliance we document our security policies, but we need to connect those policies to daily tasks and build a bridge between them.
