  • The definitive marketing podcast for MSPs!

I had a great time on Paul's podcast talking about marketing for MSPs. Paul is an excellent host helping me feel at ease and walking me through the process, and the questions we had and conversation that ensued showed that he is a true expert at his craft, both in MSP marketing and as a podcast host! Highly recommended!

  • A great pod for MSPs

Definitely a good listen and VERY worth it... especially if you're an MSP struggling to stand out from your competitors. Paul does a great job unpacking the marketing problems faced by most MSPs. His tips, tricks, and advice is great, and some of the messaging and positioning tactics apply across other fields and industries as well. The episode format keeps it moving, and Paul's personality really comes through.

Focusing On Tech Doesn't Grow Your MSP
Q: What practical steps can MSPs take to improve their market positioning?
Develop a clear USP that differentiates from competitors, test messaging with AI to compare against local competitors, and implement a few consistent content channels (newsletter, email, short video, blog) to build an audience that trusts you.
Focusing On Tech Doesn't Grow Your MSP
Q: How can MSPs apply resilience to support staff and teams?
Explain the stages clearly using visuals or diagrams, validate what people are feeling, encourage sharing, and provide structured support so colleagues can move through denial, anger, and acceptance toward productive action and growth.
Focusing On Tech Doesn't Grow Your MSP
Q: What is resilience, and how do you grow it?
Resilience is a process that follows a change or adversity, moving from denial and anger through sharing, acceptance, and action, with the end result being a higher personal plane after overcoming the challenge. The framework emphasizes understanding the stages, communicating them, and guiding others through the same path.
MSPs Using LinkedIn To Find Clients: NEW WARNING
Q: What are the three prongs of your approach to selling cybersecurity?
Trust, clarity, and storytelling. Build trust to counter fake content and deep fakes, present information in clear, simple terms, and use storytelling to engage and illustrate real-world scenarios and consequences, making cybersecurity feel tangible.
MSPs Using LinkedIn To Find Clients: NEW WARNING
Q: Where are MSPs today in terms of awareness and willingness to invest in cybersecurity?
Owners recognize cybersecurity's importance but lack motivation and confidence to act, and budget constraints keep them from committing to higher-tier security. MSPs often struggle to convey that security requires more than a checkbox, and education through relatable framing helps close the gap.
