  • A painful listen

Clunky, bumpy and hard to listen to. Needs an injection of energy and a slicker handover between the presenters. The slow cadence and pauses make for a painful listen.

  • Thought provoking

I’m an advanced mountain biker who’s looking to dial in my techniques and an instructor and guide in multiple outdoor disciplines (swiftwater rescue, kayaking, ice climbing).

The information in these conversations is priceless. Helping me to rethink how to be a better student and also broad teaching ideas that can be applied across a range of sports.

Highly recommend for both student and teacher.

  • Excellent

I generally don’t write reviews, but this podcast deserves one. It’s better than 95% of the MTB podcasts out there if you’re interested in how to progress as a rider or teach. There’s nothing out there that’s comparable from what I’ve seen.

  • Excellent Mtb skill conversations and information for students and instructors.

Finally a way to be a part of Mtb skills coaching conversations when we aren’t surrounded by a bunch of other coaches to have them with!! So much good information for skill coaches as well as students on how to set ourselves up for coaching as well as learning success. Lots of information that a certification course just doesn’t have the time for as well as some expansion and refresher info on course topics. Kristian and Paul obviously have a wealth of knowledge and experience and a fun and play... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Neko Mulally – The Goal is the Same: How to Go Fastest from Start to Finish
Q: What does going on a fun ride for you look like?
Most fun riding I do is out here in Pisgah. I just let my phone die and just ride for three days until I couldn't pedal anymore.
Neko Mulally – The Goal is the Same: How to Go Fastest from Start to Finish
Q: Can you remember or recall like your first exposure to either training, being trained or being coached as a racer?
I definitely can speak more on the training side. When I was gearing up for my first World Cup season, I was introduced to Colin Izzard from Carmichael Training Systems, who was training some of the other guys.
