  • Core MTB talk

Just like Vital’s website and YouTube produce, this podcast is all about MTB and riding bikes. The people involved are about MTB culture more than themselves, so no self promotion, just interesting conversations about mountain bikes and people in the sport, industry and culture.

  • Killer inside view into top mountain bikers minds!

Finally writing this after the sea otter coverage. Makes you feel like your there with the homies. Awesome and interesting questions with great candid commentary. Highly recommend for fans of mtb or professional downhill.

  • Wait your turn to speak, Spicoli

This show is really good when the stoned-sounding kid isnt interrupting/talking over the other hosts/guest or longwindedly repeating/rambling what the other hosts/guest have just said back to them.

Unfortunately the stoned kid never shuts up to let Dak and the coherent host speak.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Max Beaupre - The Inside Line
Q: What advice do you have for kids who don't feel they're fast enough?
Don't rush it. Take your time and learn how to go fast on a dirt bike in the woods; it builds your skills for mountain biking.
The Financial State of the Bike Industry with Jeff Brines - The Inside Line
Q: What prompted you to write the post on Vital about companies shutting down?
The wealth of examples in the industry suggested a looming crisis, particularly with companies failing to turn ideas into sustainable businesses.
17 Questions - DANNY HART
Q: How do you keep things fresh coming into each race season?
I still just love riding my bike, and even after many years, it's not a job to me.
17 Questions - DANNY HART
Q: Which would you rather win, World Champs or World Cup overall?
For me, now, a World Cup overall title would be probably more important than World Champs.
17 Questions - DANNY HART
Q: What are you most particular about with your bike setup?
I'm very particular about my handlebar. I like a nice sweep. I don't like a handlebar too straight.
