Pre-Covid observations showed brands moving direct-to-consumer and away from retailers, so I moved into creating our own lines to maintain control, quality, and to give back to the sport, while staying vertically integrated and aligned with our philosophy of making useful, high-quality products.

Q: So tell us, how did you get into mountain biking and eventually start Worldwide Cyclery?
I fell in love with mountain biking as a teen after racing and wanting a bike that could match the thrill of motocross and BMX; I started selling parts online and realized there was a global demand for high-end gear, which led to the concept of Worldwide Cyclery and a curated, boutique online experience.

Preparation centers on daily riding, structured longer weekend rides, and simulating course conditions when possible, like climbing and terrain variety, to harden the body for back-to-back days.
