Ali agrees to play ‘The Midnight Symphony’ and prepares to be reunited with Candace.
Ali reunites with Diego who aids her in her search for Candace by showing her a video that reveals what happens to someone when they travel to one of the forgotten towns.
Ali makes the decision to finally read ‘The Grey Journal’ which details her mother’s final days after she began to hear ‘The Midnight Symphony’, including what really happened on the night Newbridge burned.
Ali sits down with Wallace, the last surviving resident of Burchell Lake who has been keeping records of everything related to the music including all of the other towns that have disappeared and the lone survivors who escape them.
Ali arrives in Burchell Lake, a place completely devoid of sound. She learns what lead to everyone in town disappearing and how it all began when the residents began to hear a mysterious song coming from the water.
Unable to locate Newbridge, Ali stops off in the two nearby towns to ask the locals about her town that has disappeared but she quickly learns that the Newbridge may not have been the only town affected by the mysterious music.
In her search for Candace, Ali finds herself alone on an abandoned stretch of road in the middle of the night and has an unusual encounter with the voices coming from her radio.
As her nightmares begin to intensify, Ali seeks out someone who is capable of both reading and playing the music notes that Candace found in their mother’s journal.
Really well constructed with great use of ambiguity. I'd be interested in a second season, but the first stands alone very well.
Also, I now have that tune in my head, sort of, I can't quite remember it, but it's there, should I be concerned??
It was a little stiff but interesting concept. Unfortunately it died after the first season so I can't suggest starting it.
What a great horror story told in a great way. This has great production, acting and hooks you right away. I cannot wait to hear the next episode.
I just discovered this show and I’m so stoked that I did. It captures my attention right away. I just wanna know what happens next!
