I accept adverts at the start and end of podcasts, I’m listening for free after all. However, when they appear throughout such fine narration they ruin the flow of the narrative.
If I could afford ad free I’d pay for it but alas that’s not possible. I shall have to stop following this podcast.
Terribly disappointed with David Suchet’s narration. Being a renowned actor I was expecting great tone, pitch and timing, instead I got a voice of someone playing a comedic role.
Totally unsuitable for a ghost story. Sorry not for me…
I have always enjoyed various interpretations of Dickens’ ghost stories. I have listened to The Christmas Carol and it is a faithful interpretation and well read by Sir David. I am looking forward to listening to the others. Very enjoyable, but no interpretation will ever reach that of Sir Michael Caine and The Muppets.
I really love this podcast as well as Sherlock Holmes & Pride and Prejudice, which I’ve finished already?! It reminds me of my high school Lit classes?! Thanks for keeping us sharp & making us remember the importance of storytelling!
I wasn’t sure about this podcast but so glad I took a chance. Very well presented, good effects and who doesn’t love David Suchet!
