  • Balanced perspective

I love Michael’s thoughtful approach to our current political division. I truly felt every word of the September 28, 2025 episode, What Makes A Great President. If only our politicians could echo your words.

  • Lib slop

Critical of Trump but never of Israel. Typical liberal echo chamber. I naively thought this show might have some differing perspectives but alas your standard npr approved opinions

  • Calm

Michael is a breath of fresh air because of his calm demeanor. He doesn’t feel the need to scream and yell at his audience. He is fair and balanced unlike the podcaster acolytes of our politicians

    Not listening to you today!

Your constant negativity is so depressing.

There are some good things happening in the world.

  • Old fan returns a decade later

I grew up listening to Michael Medved in the back of my parent’s station wagon when he would fill in for Rush Limbaugh in the 90s. Michael then became a staple of my teenage years as my political opinions were starting to solidify around a conservative worldview.

I regarded him as one of the most intellectually formidable thinkers of the golden era of conservative talk radio at that time, and his honesty and commitment to following his convictions really stuck with me.

    Fast forward to today.... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 1,693 - Michael Ruben on the latest in the Iran War
Q: What is your assessment of Trump's approach to the Iran MOU and potential actions against Iran?
Ruben suggests that walking away from the MOU makes strategic sense, highlighting Trump's willingness to directly engage with Iran while not getting tied down by prior frameworks, and notes that this could destabilize the current stalemate and open room for new moves.
Ep. 1,674 - Kevin Williamson on character in politics
Q: What does the controversy around Graham Plattner say about voters and the Democratic strategy?
Williamson argues that the Democrats have learned to target specific demographics and that Plattner's personal background, optics, and public missteps become a proxy for broader questions about trust in leadership and the responsibility of candidates.
Ep. 1,677 - David Drucker on the midterms
Q: And David, we had primary elections in six states this week. What was the message that the American people were sending, if any?
The message isn't uniform, but there's clear energy for populist and outsider candidates on both sides, with voters signaling a desire to shake up the traditional political order even as some establishment figures perform differently across states.
Ep. 1,686 - Is the American Dream slipping away?
Q: Why is there such pronounced doubt and pessimism about America's future according to the poll?
Allen argues that people feel it's harder to get ahead now than a generation ago across economic groups, contributing to a perception that the American dream may be slipping away, even as some data show a modest share of Americans feel unity in values.
Ep. 1,669 - Mike Pence says the Trump administration has 'departed' from conservative values
Q: Do you support Ken Paxton?
Pence reiterates opposition to the Democrat-aligned candidate, emphasizing conservative values and political calculation in Texas.
