  • Balanced perspective

I love Michael’s thoughtful approach to our current political division. I truly felt every word of the September 28, 2025 episode, What Makes A Great President. If only our politicians could echo your words.

  • Lib slop

Critical of Trump but never of Israel. Typical liberal echo chamber. I naively thought this show might have some differing perspectives but alas your standard npr approved opinions

  • Calm

Michael is a breath of fresh air because of his calm demeanor. He doesn’t feel the need to scream and yell at his audience. He is fair and balanced unlike the podcaster acolytes of our politicians

  • No longer a listener to Michael

    Not listening to you today!

Your constant negativity is so depressing.

There are some good things happening in the world.

  • Old fan returns a decade later

I grew up listening to Michael Medved in the back of my parent’s station wagon when he would fill in for Rush Limbaugh in the 90s. Michael then became a staple of my teenage years as my political opinions were starting to solidify around a conservative worldview.

I regarded him as one of the most intellectually formidable thinkers of the golden era of conservative talk radio at that time, and his honesty and commitment to following his convictions really stuck with me.

    Fast forward to today.... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 1,665 - NY Times' Peter Baker on the Iran war
Q: Where do we go from here in terms of ending the war and achieving a viable peace?
The guest notes that the path to an end is complex and requires credible, mixed assessments and sustained diplomacy, with both sides recognizing there are still capabilities and incentives to wait out political pressures at home, making a straightforward victory unlikely.
Ep. 1,663 - Andy McCarthy on the Comey indictment
Q: Concerning Comey, do you think the judge will dismiss before trial?
The likelihood is high that the judge could grant a First Amendment motion arguing the indictment fails to state a crime due to lack of a true threat, potentially leading to dismissal before trial.
Ep. 1,663 - Andy McCarthy on the Comey indictment
Q: What would you say to that defense?
McCarthy suggests stepping back to compare the case against established precedents, arguing the existence of intent alone is not enough without proving the required act that makes the conduct criminal.
Ep. 1,659 - Bret Baier: The Case for America
Q: What did you learn from your conversation with President Trump about the prospects for ending the Iran war?
Baier describes optimism about a potential endgame based on a memorandum, but cautions that ground realities and leadership dynamics in Iran could complicate agreement implementation.
Ep. 1,662 - From 'Unconditional Surrender' to "Please Make a Deal'
Q: What is the crucial element available now for ending the war with Iran?
Mike Nelson explains that after moving away from maximalist demands, the viable path involves coercive diplomacy focused on verifiable concessions, particularly around the nuclear program, while avoiding a costly ground invasion or regime change.
