  • Daily uploads and more Duane

Please upload the show each day. I love the show but end up playing catchup with old news.

I agree with others that Duane should be the only guest host.

  • More Duane Plz

Love the show. Need to release shows on a more consistent basis. Keep the weekend pod, make sure you’ve got one on Tuesday or Wednesday morning at the latest, and fill the gaps with DUANE! That format costs you nothing. Also, Duane should be the all-time backup QB here. Never ask Mark Davis or Schlicter again. Those guys are hard to listen to. DUANE, DUANE, DUANE! 🫡👏👏👏

  • echo chamber

Enjoy the topics and Hughs interview style. That said, most of this is Hugh interviewing other podcast hosts (echo chamber) and, notably, almost never interviewing anyone from across the aisle who might push back on Hugh.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Reconciliation 3.0, President Trump signs MoU
Q: What are the chances of passing Reconciliation 3.0 in a war-focused political climate?
Experts suggest it depends on defense needs, the NDAA, and whether Republicans can rally behind a multi-year defense package through regular order or reconciliation, with some anticipating a continued push and possible government funding measures.
Should the president sign the MOU with Iran?
Q: What do you think about releasing the text of the MOU to the public?
There is a desire for transparency and to review the full text, but there is caution about unverified reporting and the possibility of undisclosed annexes; the text should come before judgment can be fully formed.
Is Vahidi dead?
Q: What does the shipbuilding plan change mean for national defense?
The plan is still being reviewed; while carriers are a strategic asset, the full justification will come after a full briefing.
Is Vahidi dead?
Q: Any definitive information one way or the other on Vahidi at this moment?
There is no confirmed confirmation yet; the panel is awaiting official confirmation and highlighting the prevalence of rumors.
Iran downs U.S. Apache helicopter, crew rescued by unmanned "sea drone"
Q: What is going on right now to give the president options for responding to the downing of the Apache?
The military and White House staff are evaluating options via a lean National Security Council, with input from Joint Staff, Central Command, and the Pentagon; options will be presented for a proportional response aligned with strategic goals and diplomacy.
