So many fascinating insights into Chinese history and culture, mostly through stories of an interesting person or event. The host has a wonderful ability to clearly explain the significance of these vignettes to non-Chinese listeners

I am very lucky I stumbled upon this podcast while searching Chinese history. The host and co-host are both wonderful. The main host’s knowledge is beyond most historians considering he not only makes historical comparison within Chinese history (comparing dynasties) but with western, middle eastern, and global histories as well.
