Absolutely loved the new episode- decisions are not life sentences. So true, wise, and on point and how Paulette delivers this golden nugget is fun and very encouraging. As someone who has had to pivot- hearing about folx who had a whole different career from what they studied or just finding something in more mature life stages is extremely encouraging to me. Shall be sharing this episode with a friend who needs to hear it! Also- I feel like anyone who is looking for a great motivational spe... more
I love how Paulette deals with taboo subjects head on and suggests alternative perspectives on the messages we’ve received on having children and being latinas that choose not to.
I began indulging in episodes of La Vida Más Chévere de Childfree Latinas after the election, mostly because I wanted to support Paulette online, but also because I wanted to better understand my Puerto Rican (proudly Boricua) nesting partner who is childfree. What I discovered was all that and more. Paulette is capable of guiding listeners through stories that are relatable to wider audiences, while helping give a voice to Latinas choosing themselves. Paulette is a beautiful presence! Highly re... more
Paulette has enlightened me on the child-free identity and through her great discussions with super informative guests, I’ve learned a LOT. I really am grateful to get to tune in and hang out with Paulette (and occasionally Ryan!) - this is a must listen for anyone with a good sense of humor and a powerful point on being child-free and Latina.
Paulette is such a great interviewer and is doing such great work. Before listening to this podcast, I hadn’t thought about being child-free as a label and didn’t realize how much I would enjoy hearing from others who don’t want kids either!
