For a running time of 40 to 45 minutes, these guys shove a ton of ads into the show. Two minutes at the start, two minutes at the end, and a bunch randomly inserted with no thought to placement or if it’s breaking up the flow. Love the site, but the show is basically unlistenable.
Just to get the 1 star fresh. There are so many offensively annoying that play immediately when the episode starts, no intro, no what’s on this episode just ads that are so low quality that local radio stations charge less than $200 for spots every 15 minutes. It’s been one of the favourite Apple podcasts. But lately there are so many ads it’s turning me off. It used to be my first Apple podcast I’d listen to. Now it’s closer to my last. I’m of with ADs. But you lads have 2 types. The dynamics ones are so random. Please knock the dynamics on the head.
The content seems fab, the hosts are good, however the way they have implemented adds makes the podcast unlistenable as ever few minutes the podcast is interrupted by adverts. Clearly where I listen there are not enough adds so I get the same two or three adds played twice per advertising segment. This does not include the sponsee reads as part of the podcast. I am all for creators getting paid for their work although sponsee reads plus external advertising ever few minutes makes this podcast... more
