I look forward to this podcast each week. I like the fun banter between Wes and William and they go in depth into the “WHY” of certain rumors. It could be why it’s not likely true or why it could be true. Also they go in depth on newer features on Apple devices that media tends to overlook. I genuinely learn more with each listen. For instance: Foveation tracking with AVP. 🤯 Keep it up! I sound smarter because of you! 😃
Genuinely disappointed that in the latest episode, the commentary went from ‘Wes’ doubling down on why he still isn’t convinced the iPhone Fold will happen, to discussing why he doesn’t see a use case, doesn’t know what it’s for, and therefore Apple shouldn’t release it. 3% of Smart phone sales isn’t enough of a market to justify its existence, not long ago a similar % of iPhone Air sales was being defended. Then we got a list of all of the fault this ‘flawed device’ will have including no MagSa... more
I enjoy the show and listen regularly. Here comes the but…Why when suggesting the audience supply the show with a rating, do you suggest it be a ‘5’. I don’t want to be told, and seems pointless to ask for a rating you prefer. The rating should reflect the audience’s satisfaction or disappointment with the show. You should want the real indicators. This info will help steer the show.
Keep up the good work.
Wait I thought Apple was not going to make the Fold since no specific parts had been leaked. Now they are going to make it, but you hope it fails. How about Apple gives it’s a consumers a choice ? I suspect Apple has learned a lot from the yearly iterations of the Samsung fold and Pixel fold and will produce a decent product that consumers can choose to purchase or not. Of course Wes has conceived of every possible use and configuration of the Fold and decided that consumers don’t need thi... more
I believe this is directed at the youngest-sounding member of the show—possibly Wesley. Please, for all that’s good, stop discussing Android if you lack firsthand experience or accurate knowledge. The recent episode was genuinely hard to stomach due to the level of misinformation and FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) you spread about Android.
I began listening to Apple Insiders after returning to an iPhone following 15 years with premium Android devices, hoping for balanced insight to sharpe... more
