  • Smarmy & Poorly Informed Political Discussions

The show has clearly drifted from what made it strong. It used to sound like a disciplined Apple roundtable: controlled moderation, efficient pacing, and contributors who could make sharp, useful points without clutter. Now it often feels padded, with overlapping discussion, weaker structure, and too much commentary that adds little substance.

The political detours are a major problem. Instead of informed analysis, they often come off like shallow, recycled cable-news filler. That noise crowds ... more

  • A classic tech podcast way past its prime.

This show has had some truly memorable panelists over the years. Alex Lindsay’s departure (for Apple) was the final straw. I agree with other reviewers who are tired of Andy. There’s good reason that Andy Ihnatko was flushed as a WGBH pundit. Andy talks over other panelists; his commentary is interesting only about 10% of the time. Christina Warren and Leo are OK but unremarkable. Jason Snell is the best of the bunch: a highly informed Apple pundit. OTOH, if you like his stuff, you might as wel... more

  • Old episodes require a subscription??????????

Why are only the 10 most recent episodes available??? Why do I have to pay for a monthly subscription to be able to listen to any episode older than that??????? That’s ridiculous!!!!!!! I’ve never seen any other podcast ever do that before. They always make every single episode available for free for everyone forever. If you wanna make money, just put in ads like every other podcast does. Then have a subscription for the ad-free version. But requiring a subscription to even listen to the show at... more

  • Christina Warren is awful

Been listening to MacBreak since the beginning but I can not stand listening to Christina. I skip any show that she’s on and sadly that means the end of MacBreak for me.

  • I used to like it

I like Jason and enjoy his takes but Andy just won’t get to the point. Is Leo paying him in words said? Or does he get a bonus anytime he compares Apple to Google? Yes we get it, you love Google. Christina seems fine. I find myself skipping through to sections where I think the commentary might be insightful but those are getting less and less. I’ve mostly moved over to Relay.fm podcasts for my Apple News and commentary.
